Camacho to helm Swissport in North America

Nelson Camacho was named chief executive officer for the United States and Canada region for Swissport , which provides airport ground services and air cargo handling. [caption id="attachment_57137628" align="alignright" width="300"] Nelson Camacho[/caption] Camacho, formerly chief operating officer for Swissport in the U.S. and Canada, became CEO last month, replacing Frank Mena , who retired after 45 years in the aviation industry, with 32 years dedicated to Swissport and its predecessor in the United States. Camacho will be driving development in one of Swissport’s largest markets. Across the region, Swissport serves more than 300 airlines daily at more than 80 airports. “We will accelerate Swissport’s growth and success, driven by collaboration, innovation and relentless focus on customer satisfaction,” Camacho said in a release. Camacho joined Swissport as chief operating officer for the U.S. and Canada in March. Prior to joining, he was COO for U.S. operations at GAT Airline Ground Support , overseeing safety, culture, compliance, and administrative and operational functions. Prior to GAT, he held management positions at Copa Airlines , CAE Inc. , US Airways and the U.S. Air Force . [caption id="attachment_57137630" align="alignright" width="300"] Stacey Brown[/caption] Additionally, Stacey Brown was appointed chief people officer for the U.S. and Canada, effective July 31. She began her career in labor and employment litigation before moving to in-house counsel and HR positions with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters , Albertsons Cos. and Walgreens . Brown has previously served as chief HR officer for DB Schenker in the Americas, a global logistics and supply chain provider.
