Digital Pulse: Allivate launches real-time cargo dashboard at FRA

Allivate , a joint venture between German software provider Dakosy and airport operator Fraport , launched a cargo dashboard that displays incoming cargo volumes and processes at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) in real time. (Courtesy/allivate)[/caption] The dashboard aims to provide FRA’s cargo community with a comprehensive overview of real-time operating conditions, according to a Sept. 4 release, allowing companies to adjust operations if necessary. “The cargo dashboard supplies at-a-glance information about the entire process chain to all participants,” Martina Schikorr , managing director of allivate , said in the release. “This includes distribution of cargo volumes across the day, current throughput times, infrastructure utilization, as well as the overall process performance. The system allows bottlenecks to be identified and for resources to be more efficiently allocated. It also provides customers with reliable insights into performance.” The dashboard has been integrated into FRA’s FAIR@Link digital cargo community platform. FRA ranks 13th on Air Cargo Next ’s top 50 cargo airports list, with throughput of 1.97 million tonnes of air cargo in 2022. Philippine Airlines offers digital sales for first time, uses cargo.one platform National carrier Philippine Airlines will soon debut its capacity in the digital booking market, following an agreement with digital booking platform cargo.one . Philippine Airlines offers freight forwarders access to 37 international destinations throughout South and East Asia, North America, Australia and the Middle East, and 32 destinations in the Philippines, according to a Sept. 12 release. Beginning this autumn, forwarders using cargo.one can book Philippine Airlines capacities for general cargo and perishables, according to the release. On the cargo.one platform, freight forwarders can view, quote and book capacity from Philippine Airlines, as well as more than 50 other carriers. Singapore Airlines adds capacity to CargoAi’s CargoMart platform Singapore Airlines has added its capacity to airfreight technology provider CargoAi ’s digital booking platform CargoMart. More than 16,000 freight forwarders in more than 130 countries use the platform, a Sept. 2 release stated. Singapore Airlines Cargo flies to more than 100 destinations in Asia, Europe, Australia, Africa and North America, according to its website. Singapore Airlines ranks 15th on Air Cargo Next ’s Freight 50 list of top cargo carriers, flying 5.2 billion cargo tonne kilometers in 2022. Project44 launches emissions-monitoring solution Chicago-based software company project44 launched an emissions-monitoring product on its supply chain platform to give shippers, carriers and logistics service providers visibility into their scope-3 carbon emissions, enabling better-informed sustainability decisions. This solution provides “the most accurate emissions measurement across all modes, enabling our customers to comply with regulations and achieve their sustainability goals.” The solution lets users: Access shipment-level emissions calculations across core shipment modes via platform and API requests; View a detailed breakdown of emissions data for each leg of multimodal shipments; Create and share custom sustainability reports with data including total emissions, emissions intensity and distance traveled; and Access an agnostic emissions dashboard that displays trends over time. Aurrigo brings Auto-DollyTug to US U.K.-based provider of airport transport technology Aurrigo opened an office in the Delta Cargo building at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) this month and will deploy its Auto-DollyTug airside at the airport. (Courtesy/Aurrigo)[/caption] Auto-DollyTug is an all-electric, autonomous vehicle that combines the functionality of a baggage tractor with the unit load device (ULD)-carrying capability of an airport dolly, according to a Sept. 6 release. It uses robotic arms to autonomously load and unload ULDs. The vehicle saves money, increases efficiency and reduces carbon emissions by up to 60% compared with traditional diesel tugs, the release stated. Daniel Garcia Jr. was named the company’s first autonomous vehicle safety operator in the United States. This is the first time Aurrigo is bringing its Auto-DollyTug to the U.S. The project has begun set up and mapping at CVG, with operations soon to follow, the release stated. CVG ranks 17th on Air Cargo Next ’s top 50 cargo airports list, with throughput of 1.8 million tonnes of cargo.
