Digital Pulse: Logicsols to use BlueBox airfreight tracking API

Digital logistics solutions provider Logicsols will use the airfreight tracking program interface developed by BlueBox Systems , allowing customers to manage their logistics operations with features including shipment visibility, data analysis and document legalization. Due to the API solution, the BlueBox and Logicsols applications can communicate independently and exchange data in real time. The API solution also provides end-to-end data security by allowing only authorized users to access shared information, according to the release. “Our robust API allows for swift and straightforward integration, empowering business with real-time air and ocean freight visibility,” BlueBox Chief Executive Martin Schulze said in the release. “We provide a user-friendly and efficient API integration that ensures a smooth data flow and minimizes technical challenges for our customers.” Other companies using BlueBox’s API solution are: Siemens Digital Solutions ; 4Flow ; Thinkprime ; Klog ; and Otonomi . “BlueBox Systems offers a wider range of data points for airfreight shipments compared to other providers,” Saif Uddin , digital delivery leader at Logicsols, said in the release. He praised BlueBox’s “excellent data quality,” saying, “This is especially important for us, so we can offer our customers a clear and dependable picture of their airfreight movements.” The data points include real-time location updates, weather impact information and potential delays due to customs clearance, according to the release. Bonn, Germany-based BlueBox offers tracking data for more than 130 airlines and 1,600 airports and provides about 40 million status updates per day, the release stated. WiseTech expands customs capability in Finland with Aktiv Data buy Sydney-based WiseTech Global , the developer of logistics execution software CargoWise, will acquire Jakobstad, Finland-based Aktiv Data , a provider of electronic customs and freight forwarding solutions. Founded in 2006, Aktiv Data offers a cloud-based freight forwarding and customs system called nTrax, as well as freight forwarding, bonded warehouse and waybill products, according to a release from WiseTech this month. The nTrax system supports customs procedures with a direct message exchange to the Finnish Customs office. “With many years of customs and compliance product development in Finland, Aktiv Data provides a proven and sophisticated electronic customs solution that we will offer to CargoWise customers, making it easier for them to comply with Finland’s cross-border requirements,” WiseTech Chief Execution Officer Vlad Bilanovsky said in the release. “Our strategy is to provide a single global customs system for customs clearance and cross-border compliance to make customs processing more efficient, compliant and secure for international freight forwarders.” Aktiv Data’s operations will be integrated within the WiseTech Global group and remain under the current leadership of Aktiv’s Chief Executive Kaj Svarvar , the release stated. “Our nTrax customers will benefit from being able to access CargoWise’s customs and compliance capabilities in other countries to ensure goods move smoothly across borders to avoid cargo delays, inspection fees and fines,” Svarvar said in the release.
