WCS 2016: Jettainer, DoKaSch seal ULD maintenance deal

Jettainter_DoKaSch_WCSBERLIN – Jettainer may have had one of the more amusing booth displays here at the World Cargo Symposium, featuring a person dressed as a dancing, waving ULD. But there was some real news to report from the ULD management firm, including the deal announced with DoKaSch on a new IT system to improve the processes for repairing ULDs.

DoKaSch, a developer, manufacturer and repair service company for airfreight containers and pallets, has been linked to Jettainer for some time, but this new agreement means that both companies will be able to use improved data quality to accelerate ULD repair procedures. This includes processing enquiries for ULDs in real time and recognizing patterns of damage by analyzing larger amounts of data.

“It’s our aspiration to continue developing both the ULDs themselves and all the management processes, too,” said Carsten Hernig, managing director of Jettainer.

DoKaSch was also awarded Jettainer’s “Certified Repair Partner” quality seal for repair workshops. Companies that wish to be part of Jettainer’s repair network must provide evidence that it complies with Jettainer’s guidelines during an audit.
