Airbus transactions stand out in June

Airbus widebody activity buoyed the eighty-seven freighter aircraft transactions Cargo Facts recorded in June. The number of FATs for the month was more than double that of May, but decreased year over year by twenty-five. Here are the transaction highlights for June: AviLease, a subsidiary of Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, announced its first widebody-freighter order for ten A350Fs with options for up to twelve more at the Paris Air Show 2025 on June 16. Turkish carrier MNG Airlines added to the number of A350F commitments when it announced a memorandum of understanding for two of the Airbus widebody freighters at the Paris Air Show. In the medium-widebody segment, Mexico-based Awesome Cargo took delivery of its first A330-200P2F on lease from Air Lease Corp., while Avianca Cargo took delivery of an A330-300P2F on lease from CDB Aviation and an A330-200P2F from Avolon . Across the pond, rival planemaker Boeing delivered one 777F each to Air China Cargo, Atlas Air and China Cargo Airlines. Carrier interest in the 747-400F remains strong as Etihad became the most recent airline to secure the services of the quad-engine freighter through an ACMI deal with Western Global Airlines . Retirements complemented the number of additions in June, with FedEx removing twelve freighters from its fleet. The express company announced in its 2025 fourth-quarter earnings release on June 24 that it had retired three MD-11Fs, seven A300-600Fs and two 757-200Fs. Although narrowbody movement remained marginal with only sixteen transactions, the E190F stood out in June, with Embraer announcing at the Paris Air Show 2025 that Malta-based Bridges Air Cargo would lease the first E190F from Regional One . Western Global Airlines began operating a 747-400F (29258, ex-Atlas Air) on an ACMI basis for Etihad Cargo [FAT 10497]. Air China Cargo took delivery of a 777F (67837) from Boeing [FAT 10572]. China Cargo Airlines took delivery of a 777F (69514) from Boeing [FAT 10573]. Atlas Air took delivery of a 777F (69788) from Boeing [FAT 10574]. FedEx retired three MD-11Fs and placed them into storage in Victorville (VCV) [FATs 10556-10558]. Avianca Cargo took delivery of an A330-300P2F (1382, ex-SmartLynx) on lease from CDB Aviation after conversion with EFW in Shanghai (SHA) [FATs 10500-10502]. UPS took delivery of a 767-300F (67979) from Boeing [FAT 10548]. FedEx took delivery of a 767-300F (67543) from Boeing [FAT 10568]. YTO Cargo Airlines acquired a 767-300BDSF (33767, ex-Ethiopian Airlines) from Titan Aircraft Investments [FAT 10507]. Amazon transferred a 767-300BCF (27615, ex-LATAM) from Atlas Air to 21 Air for CMI operation [FATs 10516-10517]. Prime Aviation placed a conversion order for a 767-300BDSF with IAI [FATs 10540-10541]. DHL Express transferred two A330-200Fs (1688 and 1708, ex-CMA CGM) to Air Hong Kong for CMI operation [FATs 10492-10494]. Awesome Cargo took delivery of an A330-200P2F (1252, ex-ITA Airways) on lease from Air Lease after conversion with EFW in Dresden (DRS) [FATs 10495-10496]. Avianca Cargo took delivery of an A330-200P2F (1342) on lease from Avolon after conversion with EFW in Mobile (BFM) [FATs 10549-10553]. Hong Kong Air Cargo acquired and inducted for conversion an A330-200 (1028). The aircraft will be converted with EFW at SHA [FATs 10569-10571]. Air Hong Kong returned an A300-600F (856) off CMI to DHL [FAT 10555]. FedEx retired seven A300-600Fs and placed them into storage at VCV [FATs 10559-10565]. FedEx retired two 757-200Fs and placed them into storage at VCV [FATs 10566-10567]. SolitAir placed a lease order for two 737-800BDSFs (34014 and 33997, both ex-Virgin Australia) from World Star Aviation [FATs 10498-10499]. SolitAir also took delivery of a 737-800BCF (33567, ex-Budget Lines) on lease from BBAM [FATs 10575-10577]. Surinam Airways placed a lease order for a 737-800BCF (33719, ex-AirExplore) from BBAM [FATs 10505-10506]. ASL Airlines Belgium took delivery of a 737-800BCF (29782, ex-AirExplore) on lease from BBAM [FATs 10512-10515]. ASL Airlines Australia placed a lease order for a 737-800BCF (28595, ex-Georgian Airlines) from BBAM [FAT 10554]. Skyway Airlines placed a lease order for two 737-400Fs (27256 and 25773, both ex-ASL Airlines) from World Star Aviation [FATs 10503 and 10504]. UniWorld Air Cargo took delivery of a 737-400F (28701, ex-West Atlantic) on lease from Petrus Aviation [FATs 10509-10510]. Poste Air Cargo returned a 737-400F (28888) off lease to Automatic [FAT 10511]. Bridges Air Cargo placed a lease order for an E190F (19000360, ex-Avianca El Salvador) from Regional One [FAT 10546]. Motu Link Airline acquired an ATR 72-500F (713, ex-Binter Canarias) [FAT 10591]. Advantage Air acquired an ATR 72-200F (256, ex-FedEx) [FAT 10508]. Advantage Air also placed a conversion order for two Dash 8-400Fs from De Havilland [FATs 10542-10543]. FedEx took delivery of a Cessna SkyCourier (408-0042) from Textron Aviation [FAT 10547].
