国际航空运输协会（IATA）和WorldACD发布了全球航空货运的需求情况，两家机构的数据证实了《空运通讯》的预测：虽然需求仍然保持强劲，但货量增幅已经难以保持最近经常看到的12-13％。9月份，根据国际航空运输协会（IATA）的统计，全球货运周转量同比增长了9.2％，根据WorldACD的报告，全球货运计费重量同比上涨了8.8％。货量下降的部分原因如下： 1、2016年9月起，全球航空货运的需求增长开始加速，使得同比的基数较高。 2、9月作为“传统的货运旺季”，2017年9月的旺季热度弱于2016年9月同期。 3、飓风袭击了美国东南部以及加勒比地区，造成该区域的航空货运服务短暂停滞。
埃及航空引进波音737-800货机？
埃及航空货物总裁Bassem Gohar，在埃及新闻媒体Al-Ahram的采访中表示，其机队将于2018年和2019年增加四架空客330-200改造货机以及一架波音737-800改造货机。目前，埃及航空已经与EFW签署了两架A330 -200客机改造货机的订单，令人感兴趣的是此次波音737-800的货机改造计划。
