Boeing 747-8 Intercontintental First In-flight Picture

And it’s airborne! Cargo Facts was on hand this morning to witness the first flight of the Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental. Boeing’s two Canadair T33 chase planes (one seen here) swept in and after a very short takeoff roll, RC001 (msn: 38636) took to the skies. Up in the air as this is posted, the flight crew reported back to Boeing very quickly that the plane was doing very well.

We’ve paused to bring you this photo less than an hour after takeoff, and Cargo Facts will be on hand for the landing at Boeing Field in a few hours, more pictures and video to come!
