Lopez took on the role of cargo operations manager at Air Canada in July 2023. With more than nineteen years of industry experience, he previously served as project manager team lead at Lufthansa Cargo and supervisor at Menzies Aviation.
Air Canada’s six 767-300 freighters continued to operate during the airline’s work stoppage in August 2025.
The carrier’s fleet of Boeing medium-widebody freighters seized the opportunity to play a key role in the evolving global market trade flows, Mark Galardo, chief commercial officer and cargo president, said on the airline’s Nov. 5, 2025, earnings call.
“Our flexibility in capacity from freighters allowed us to carry more of the growing and lucrative cargo demand from Asia to Latin America,” he said.
Air Canada previously operated eight 767Fs before removing two production 767-300Fs (67024 and 67023) from service in Q2 2024 and leasing them to Ethiopian Airlines that same year.
