CargoLogic Germany 737F fleet grows to three units

CargoLogic Germany (CLG) has received its third freighter, courtesy of Russia-based ATRAN. The aircraft is a 737-400SF (25775, ex-Yamal Airlines) that is on lease from Vx Capital Partners [FATs 005245-005246].

Unit 25775 was converted by Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) and redelivered to ATRAN in December 2018. Cargo Facts had expected it to join CLG’s fleet eventually, but CLG only obtained its German Air Operator Certificate (AOC) in September 2019. After returning to Moscow (VKO) from Stockholm (ARN) on Dec. 2, unit 25775 was ferried to Leipzig (LEJ) on Dec. 4.

Even before its AOC, though, CLG had already had two other 737-400SFs on property, one redelivered in March 2019 (28867) and another in May (27673). The company received preliminary approval from the European authorities to begin route-proving flights with the two aircraft in June.

Unit 28867 has been flying between Cologne (CGN) and Billund (BLL) since Nov. 26, while unit 27673 has exclusively been flying between CGN and East Midlands (EMA) since Nov. 20. CLG previously told Cargo Facts that it intends to grow its fleet to ten freighters by 2022, with the other seven narrowbody aircraft likely to be sourced elsewhere.
