Cargolux boosts Zhengzhou service

Cargolux added a fifth weekly frequency to its Luxembourg-Zhengzhou service.

While there was much speculation that the route would be unprofitable when Cargolux launched it with two weekly frequencies in June, the carrier added a third frequency in early September and then a fourth in mid-October.

In late November, Cargolux said that the total volume carried on the route to date had surpassed 10,000 tonnes. A quick back-of-the-envelope calculation suggests that this means an average load per flight of about 83 tonnes during the five months Cargolux has operated the service.
