Frederic Horst, a long-time airfreight analyst, consultant, and strategist, has joined Cargo Facts Consulting as managing director.
Horst’s appointment is effective immediately.
Cargo Facts Consulting, the sister consultancy of this news resource, was founded in 1978 as Air Cargo Management Group. Cargo Facts Consulting has a long history of providing exceptional advisory and research to the air cargo industry. For example, its 20-Year Freighter Forecast is the world’s only publicly available, independent freighter fleet forecast.
Frederic Horst has held senior positions at AirBridgeCargo, DHL, Cargolux and the State Government in New South Wales. He has also worked at Merge Global, which, prior to its closing, provided consulting services to the transportation industry. Horst has a Master of Transport Management from the University of Sydney, where he also taught an international air and sea freight transportation economics course for 10 years. He has a wide range of experience, including fleet and network planning, route development, regulatory affairs and traffic rights, revenue management, market forecasting, transportation-related product development, development of business cases and investment program management.
In conjunction with Horst’s hiring, Cargo Facts Consulting will be relocated to Luxembourg, one of the world’s leading air cargo centers. The senior consultant team of Cargo Facts Consulting will continue to include Robert V. Dahl, previous the consultancy’s senior managing director, and Jim Edgar, who previously spent more than 30 years as regional director of cargo marketing at Boeing, among others.
