PNG Air takes first ATR 72 combi
Papua New Guinea-based PNG Air (formerly Airlines PNG) took delivery of an ATR 72-600 Combi from ATR.
The carrier is scheduled to take delivery of one more ATR 72-600 this year, three in 2016, and two more in 2017. PNG Air is the launch customer for the ATR 72 Combi, and its eight-unit ATR 72 order includes options for fourteen more, although it is not known how many will be in combi configuration. The ATRs will gradually replace the carrier’s current fleet of fourteen Dash-8-100s.
