CFC: US inbound cross-border e-commerce shipments jump 15%

Nearly 900 million packages projected to arrive this year

Parcels moving into the United States under Section 321 of the 2016 Trade Facilitation and Trade Enforcement Act (TFTEA) are forecast to grow 15% year on year to 880 million shipments in fiscal year 2021, according to estimates from Cargo Facts Consulting.

Despite the airfreight capacity constraints which have persisted into 2021, inbound cross-border e-commerce continues to grow, with volumes moving through mail and express networks.
