Boeing takes orders for seven 777Fs in October

Boeing logged gross orders for seven 777Fs in October and delivered one 767-300F to FedEx. All seven 777F orders were attributed to an unidentified customer or customers, according to Boeing’s latest monthly orders and deliveries update, released today. (Courtesy/Boeing)[/caption] Boeing’s backlog for the 777F program stood at seventy-eight as of Oct. 31, including thirty for unidentified customers. The manufacturer received gross orders for thirty-five 777Fs from Jan. 1 through Oct. 31, according to the monthly update. The identified orders include: Ten for Emirates, placed in June and September ; Four for Turkish Airlines , placed in June; Two for Boeing’s financing arm, BCA Customer Finance, placed in June; and One for Silk Way West Airlines , placed in February. Boeing has not identified the customers behind the other eighteen 777Fs, and it is unclear whether that total includes the recent firm order from National Airlines for four . However, as Cargo Facts reported in October, two of those new 777Fs are destined for United Kingdom-based One Air . Increased orders In addition to delivering one 767-300F (67538) to FedEx in October, Boeing delivered thirteen passenger planes, bringing the monthly delivery total to fourteen — Boeing’s lowest since November 2020. This dip was most likely caused by the fifty-three-day workers’ strike, which union members voted to end on Nov. 5 . This year has already exceeded 2023 for 777F gross orders. Boeing logged ten in 2023, thirty-five in 2022 and forty-two in 2021. Boeing has garnered gross orders for 387 777Fs since launch customer Air France placed the first order for the type in May 2005, according to the planemaker.
