LATAM Cargo CEO Andres Bianchi will discuss the carrier’s increasing focus on cargo in a Cargo Facts Symposium panel that looks at the changing business models of scheduled passenger airlines.

Cargo Facts Symposium 2021 returns live this year and will take place Oct. 25-27 at the Wynn Las Vegas.

During the panel, scheduled for 11:30 am on Tuesday, Oct. 26, Bianchi will talk about LATAM’s strategy as the carrier emerges from bankruptcy and how it will address the challenges of the Latin American market.

In March of this year, LATAM Cargo announced that it will accelerate its expansion by converting at least four 767-300ERs with Boeing for redelivery between December 2021 and July 2022. It then followed shortly thereafter by exercising four options and adding two more firm 767-300BCF conversions.

Bianchi has previously expressed the suitability of the 767-300F for LATAM’s network and operations. The carrier is already the scheduled combination carrier with the largest 767F fleet but the additions, if all for growth, will take it to twenty-one 767-300Fs, with eight 767-300Fs and thirteen 767-300BCFs.

In the meantime, LATAM has also reconfigured three 767-300ERs to carry cargo on the main deck ahead of their conversion slots.

Cargo Facts Symposium is the essential event for stakeholders in the air cargo industry. Learn more and register at www.cargofactssymposium.com.
