Jackson Square joins growing list of 737-800F lessors

Jackson Square Aviation (JSA) has become the latest lessor to invest in freighter conversions and 737NG freighters in particular by signing a deal with Aeronautical Engineers Inc. (AEI) for six 737-800SF conversions [ FATs 008031-8036 ]. The conversions will all take place at the Commercial Jet facility in Miami (MIA), with redeliveries from 2024 through 2026. (Photo/AEI)[/caption] AEI told Cargo Facts that it expects the 737-800s to be very young aircraft and that the order is a good sign of long-term confidence in 737NG conversions. JSA has forty-three 737-800s in its portfolio and is part of the Japan-based Mitsubishi HC Capital. The lessor also owns a single 777F, according to its website. Apart from JSA, several other leasing companies have emerged with their first 737-800SF conversion deals this year. These include Merx Aviation and China Aircraft Leasing Group Holdings (CALC) with a single conversion each, Titan Aviation with two, and World Star Aviation with at least a few. Meanwhile, Aero Capital Solutions , already the largest customer of AEI’s 737-800SF program, ordered six earlier more this year for a total of forty slots.
