Pilot Freight Services to open Las Vegas warehouse

Transportation and logistics provider Pilot Freight Services is opening a new 70,000-square-foot warehouse in Las Vegas, offering storage options for the many trade shows and special events to which the Nevada city plays host.

The new warehouse is located near McCarran International Airport (LAS) and the Las Vegas Strip, and will offer long- and short-term storage options. The facility’s design includes 32-foot ceilings, 20 dock doors and a roof made of Polar-Ply Radiant Barriers, which will block 97 percent of summer radiant heat from entering the building, reducing inside temperatures by up to 50◦F without using any extra electricity. The facility will also offer security systems including motion, audio and camera sensors for interior and exterior monitoring.

The facility is scheduled to open on Jan. 20, 2018, with inventory management offered through Pilot’s electronic Warehouse Management System (eWMS). Pilot’s eWMS is customizable and integrates with customers’ systems.
