Zygimantas Surintas, CEO and board member of Latvia-headquartered ACMI carrier SmartLynx Airlines, will speak at Cargo Facts Symposium 2021.
As part of a group rapidly adding newer narrowbody types to freighter configuration, Surintas will share his views on engine management strategies.
SmartLynx added its first A321-200PCF (891, ex-Air Mediterranee) to its Maltese AOC, SmartLynx Malta, earlier this year and has put the aircraft into ACMI service for DHL Express. A second A321 freighter, an EFW-converted A321-200P2F (1017, ex-R Airlines) has been redelivered to lessor Vallair and will soon follow. The carrier ordered its first two freighter-converted A321-200s from Vallair in 2020 and will soon add four more of the type, with the aim of a total of ten by 2023.
Cargo Facts Symposium will be presented Oct. 25-27 at the Wynn Las Vegas. Surintas will join speakers from engine manufacturers during the session titled, “Powering into the future: winning engine management strategies,” scheduled to begin at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 26.
