8月22日，亚马逊向萨克拉门托机场监事会提出申请，希望建造4万平方英尺“悬挂结构”的货运设施。该悬挂结构设施由铝金属框架构成，连接全天候运作的建筑膜材。该类建筑可以迅速的收放自如，以亚马逊设施为例，能够在一个月内即投入运营。
