737-800 accounts for over 25% of August FATs

The 737-800 continued to dominate monthly freighter-related activity, accounting for twenty of the seventy-one Freighter Aircraft Transactions Cargo Facts logged in August. Unlike in 2022, when the monthly amount exceeded 100 multiple times, the FATs in 2023 have tended to remain in the double-digit range. Despite a slower market, August saw several highlights: FedEx took delivery of its fiftieth new 777F from Boeing, Challenge Group and Georgian Airlines each took their first 767-300BDSFs, and CAM leased its first A321-200PCF to Raya Airways. 767-300s weren’t far behind 737-800s with sixteen FATs, and there were fifteen FATs involving A321-200s. Below is a complete list of FATs recorded in August 2023. Each transaction contains a unique FAT code linked to our FAT Database . China Airlines took delivery of a 777F (68057) from Boeing [FAT 8960]. FedEx took delivery of two 777Fs (66262 and 66263) from Boeing [FATs 8984 and 8998]. Cargojet acquired a 767-300BDSF (27613, ex-Omni Air International) from CAM [FAT 8931]. DHL Express inducted for conversion a 767-300ER (41993, ex-LATAM). The aircraft will be converted with Boeing in Guangzhou (CAN) [FAT 8935]. DHL also took redelivery of two 767-300BCFs (41995 and 41748, both ex-LATAM) after conversion with Boeing at CAN [FATs 8948 and 8996]. Georgian Airlines took delivery of a 767-300BDSF (25585, ex-Air Canada) on lease from CAM and placed a lease order for another [FATs 8941-8943]. FedEx took delivery of two 767-300Fs (63132 and 63133) from Boeing [FATs 8961 and 8997]. UPS inducted for conversion a 767-300ER (40364, ex-Japan Airlines). The aircraft will be converted with Boeing in Singapore (QPG) [FAT 8962]. Challenge Group took redelivery of a 767-300BDSF (25588, ex-Air Canada) after conversion with IAI in Belgrade (BEG) [FAT 8963]. Saltchuk Aviation took redelivery of a 767-300BCF (30566, ex-Ethiopian Airlines) after conversion with Boeing at QPG [FAT 8964]. Amerijet will lease a 767-300BCF (25587, ex-Air Canada) from CAM [FAT 8981]. SkyTaxi took delivery of a 767-300BDSF (26388, ex-Air Canada Rouge) on lease from CAM [FATs 8982-8983]. Maersk took delivery of a 767-300BDSF (25354, ex-Delta Air Lines) on lease from CAM [FAT 8992]. Mas returned a 767-200BDSF (22788, ex-West Atlantic) off lease to CAM [FAT 8945]. AerSale acquired two 757-200s (32389 and 32391, both ex-American Airlines) from AAR [FATs 8954-8957]. AerSale also inducted for conversion a 757-200 (32389, ex-American Airlines). The aircraft will be converted with Precision Aircraft Solutions in Xiamen (XMN) [FAT 9000]. Sichuan Aviation Industry Development placed a conversion order for three A321-200PCFs with 321 Precision Conversions [FATs 8922-8924]. ST Engineering inducted for conversion an A321-200 (1707, ex-Red Wings). The aircraft will be converted with EFW in Tianjin (TSN) [FATs 8932-8934]. Raya Airways took delivery of an A321-200PCF (1972, ex-Thomas Cook Airlines) on lease from CAM [FATs 8936-8937]. CAM took redelivery of an A321-200PCF (1887, ex-Thomas Cook Airlines) after conversion with 321 Precision Conversions in Sanford (SFB) and placed it on lease to Raya Airways [FATs 8938-8940]. Cross Ocean Partners took redelivery of an A321-200PCF (1487, ex-Red Wings) after conversion with 321 Precision Conversions at XMN [FAT 8950]. Fuyo General Lease acquired and inducted for conversion an A321-200 (4406, ex-Qatar Airways). The aircraft will be converted with EFW in Singapore (XSP) [FATs 8958-8959]. Nexus Aviation Ventures inducted for conversion an A321-200 (2919, ex-Aruba Airlines). The aircraft will be converted with 321 Precision Conversions at XMN [FAT 8995]. Chisholm Enterprises acquired and inducted for conversion a 737-800 (35092, ex-Airzena Georgian Airways). The aircraft will be converted with Boeing at CAN [FATs 8926-8927]. BBAM took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (35502) after conversion with Boeing in San Jose (SJO) and placed it back on lease to WestJet [FATs 8928-8929]. ASL Aviation Holdings acquired a 737-800 (34475, ex-GOL) [FAT 8930]. Serve Air acquired a 737-800 (30517, ex-Air China) from CALC and inducted it for conversion. The aircraft will be converted with AEI in Dothan (DHN) [FATs 8951-8953]. World Star Aviation took redelivery of a 737-800BDSF (34014, ex-Virgin Australia) after conversion with IAI in Yichang (YIH) and will lease it to SpiceJet [FATs 8965-8966]. World Star also inducted for conversion two 737-800s (33997, ex-Virgin Australia, and 34970, ex-Royal Flight). The aircraft will be converted with IAI at YIH [FATs 8967-8968]. AerCap took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (32685, ex-Neos) after conversion with Boeing at TNA and placed it on lease to Raindo United Services [FATs 8977-8979]. ASL Airlines inducted for conversion a 737-800 (34475, ex-GOL). The aircraft will be converted with Boeing in Jinan (TNA) [FAT 8980]. Budget Lines took delivery of a 737-800BCF (33551, ex-Ryanair) on lease from BBAM [FAT 8985]. BBAM took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (33567, ex-Ryanair) after conversion with Boeing at CAN and placed it on lease to Budget Lines [FATs 8986-8989]. Air Inuit acquired two 737-800s (40852 and 40853) from Comair [FATs 8990-8991]. BBN Airlines returned a 737-400SF (24573) off lease to KF Aerospace [FAT 8925]. Aeronaves TSM acquired a 737-400SF (26306) from Cargo Air [FAT 8994]. Aeronaves TSM also began operating a 737-400SF (24474, ex-DHL) on an ACMI basis for Mercado Libre [FAT 8999]. Everts Air Cargo took redelivery of an MD-88SF (53266, ex-Delta Air Lines) after conversion with AEI at DHN [FATs 8946-8947]. FedEx took delivery of an ATR 72-600F (1753) from ATR [FAT 8944]. SprintAir took redelivery of an ATR 72-500F (724, ex-Air Corsica) after conversion with Aeroconseil in Warsaw (WAW) [FAT 8993].
