747-400 freighter activity stands out in August 

Transactions involving 747-400 freighters led August’s surge in widebody activity at fifty-one transactions, despite falling short of July’s total by one and declining by six year over year. Air Incheon — now AirZeta — completed the acquisition of ten 747-400Fs and one 767-300F . 747-400Fs accounted for 22% of August’s transactions. Boeing completed 777F deliveries to Emirates , China Cargo Airlines and Aerotranscargo, which took delivery of its first twin-engine widebody freighter and leased it to One Air . In the medium-widebody segment, A330 freighters stood out, with Turkey-based ULS Airlines Cargo taking delivery of its second A330-300P2F (349, ex-Sunclass Airlines) on lease from CAM and beginning ACMI service for Turkish Airlines. 767-300 activity dropped 39% YoY after leading transactions in August 2024. Apart from AirZeta adding a 767-300F, the only other 767-300 transaction for the month came from Georgia-based Geosky, which took delivery of its second 767-300BCF (30565, ex-Northern Air Cargo) on lease from Saltchuk Aviation. China-based Shandong Airlines played a key role in boosting 737-800 transactions in the narrowbody sector, taking redelivery of its third 737-800BCF (36190) and beginning conversion on its fourth unit (33665). FedEx completed a milestone when it took delivery of its thirtieth Cessna 408 SkyCourier and placed it with Mountain Air Cargo for CMI service, while placing the first Cessna SkyCourier with Canada-based Morningstar Air Express . China Cargo Airlines took delivery of a 777F (69515) from Boeing [FAT 10669]. Aerotranscargo took delivery of a 777F (68454) from Boeing and placed it on lease to One Air [FATs 10673-10675]. Atlas Air began operating a 777F (69788) on an ACMI basis for Etihad Cargo [FAT 10679]. Atlas Air also began operating a 777F (69787) on an ACMI basis for DSV [FAT 10681]. ULS Airlines Cargo took delivery of an A330-300P2F (349, ex-Sunclass Airlines) on lease from CAM and began operating it on an ACMI basis for Turkish Airlines [FATs 10658-10660]. AirZeta acquired a 767-300F (25761) from Asiana Airlines [FAT 10641]. Geosky took delivery of a 767-300BCF (30565, ex-Northern Air Cargo) on lease from NAS Aircraft Leasing [FATs 10644-10645]. Air China Cargo took redelivery of an A330-200P2F (903) after conversion with EFW in Chengdu (CTU) [FATs 10642-10643]. Air Lease inducted for conversion an A330-200 (1225, ex-ITA Airways). The aircraft will be converted with EFW in Dresden (DRS) [FATs 10661-10663]. Airbus took redelivery of an A330-200P2F (797, ex-Air China) after conversion with EFW at DRS [FAT 10664]. MJets Air acquired a 737-800BCF (29670, ex-SpiceJet) from Genesis [FAT 10649]. Shandong Airlines took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (36190) after conversion with Boeing in Jinan (TNA) [FATs 10651-10653]. Shandong Airlines inducted for conversion another of its 737-800s (33665). The aircraft will be converted with Boeing at TNA [FATs 10654-10655]. World Star Aviation took redelivery of a 737-800BDSF (34013, ex-GetJet Airlines) after conversion with IAI in Yichang (YIH) and will place it on lease to Swiftair [FATs 10665-10666]. ASL Airlines Australia took delivery of a 737-800BCF (28595, ex-Georgian Airlines) on lease from BBAM [FAT 10670]. DHL Express transferred a 737-800BDSF (28619, ex-Pegasus) from iAero Airways to Swiftair for CMI operation [FATs 10671-10672]. MJets Air acquired a 737-400F (25180, ex-ASL Airlines) [FATs 10646-10648]. Sin-Kung Airways took delivery of a 737-400SF (29204, ex-ASL Airlines) on lease from Royal Aero [FATs 10676-10678]. China Postal Airlines retired a 737-300F (26292, ex-Xiamen Airlines) [FAT 10650]. Africa Charter Airline acquired a 737-300F (23951, ex-West Atlantic) [FAT 10667]. FedEx took delivery of two Cessna 408 SkyCouriers (408-0044 and 408-0045) from Textron Aviation [FAT 10657 and 10668].
