777Fs take wide lead in February transactions

Freighter aircraft transactions in February came in at thirty-nine, three fewer than January and twenty-three fewer than February 2024. As the industry braces for global headwinds from a possible trade war that could further reduce freighter activity in the coming months, there were a few notable highlights in the freighter aircraft transactions that Cargo Facts recorded in February. Although Airbus reported orders for three A350Fs from an unidentified customer, 777Fs led all categories with twelve transactions. Altavair was behind two of the four orders Cargo Facts recorded for production 777 freighters while Boeing delivered China’s forty-ninth and fiftieth units to China Southern Cargo and Air China Cargo, respectively. In the medium-widebody segment, Samaritan’s Purse acquired its first 767-300F (33510, ex-Qantas) from Aircraft Finance Germany. Boeing redelivered its 100th 767-300BCF conversion (30048, ex-Condor) to China-based SF Airlines while UPS and FedEx each took delivery of a 767 production freighter from the U.S. planemaker in February. Although narrowbody-freighter transactions have recently slowed to a trickle, Cargo Facts logged a lease order for an A321-200PCF from Congo-based CAA, which could become the first operator of the type in Africa . China Southern Cargo took delivery of a 777F (67823) from Boeing [FAT 10316]. Air China Cargo took delivery of a 777F (67836) from Boeing [FAT 10320]. An unidentified customer placed an order for two 777Fs from Boeing [FATs 10321-10322]. Kalitta Air took delivery of a 777F (35610, ex-Emirates) on lease from DAE Capital [FATs 10323-10324]. UPS took delivery of a 767-300F (67977) from Boeing [FAT 10311]. FedEx took delivery of a 767-300F (67540) from Boeing [FAT 10330]. SF Airlines took redelivery of a 767-300BCF (30048, ex-Condor) after conversion with Boeing in Guangzhou (CAN) [FAT 10331]. Samaritan’s Purse acquired a 767-300BCF (33510, ex-Qantas) from Aircraft Finance Germany [FATs 10335-10336]. Amazon took delivery of an A330-300P2F (1245, ex-Etihad Airways) on lease from Altavair after conversion with EFW in Shanghai (SHA) and placed it with Hawaiian Airlines for CMI operation [FATs 10337-10339]. Asia Pacific Airlines took delivery of a 757-200PCF (32387, ex-Amerijet) on lease from Titan Aircraft Investments [FATs 10328-10329]. CAA placed a lease order for an A321-200PCF (808, ex-Air Moldova) from CAM [FATs 10312-10313]. ASL Airlines took delivery of a 737-800BCF (34251, ex-Belavia) on lease from Icelease [FATs 10332-10334]. Total Linhas Aereas took delivery of two 737-400SFs (27674, ex-DHL, and 25106, ex-ASL Airlines) on lease from World Star Aviation [FATs 10305-10310]. KF Aerospace acquired an ATR 72-500F (736, ex-Silver Airways) from ACIA Aero Leasing [FATs 10325-10327].
