A350F order boosts October transactions

A new A350F order provided a boost to the forty-four transactions recorded by Cargo Facts in October, but the total fell 23% from last year. October’s transactions also decreased by nine month over month, and continued to be largely supported by widebody freighters, which accounted for 64% of the monthly total. Korean Air led widebody transactions for the month with its order for seven of Airbus’ new A350Fs . Big Twin deliveries continued in October, with Kalitta Air taking two more 777-300ERSFs (32787 and 32785) on lease from AerCap and beginning ACMI service for Challenge Group with another (32791). Boeing delivered the tenth 777F to Turkish Airlines and the second 777F to Suparna Airlines in October. In the medium-widebody segment, there was an uptick in 767 freighter activity with CAM leasing a 767-300F (29881) to Raya Airways and a second 767-300BDSF (25199) to Camex Airlines , while inducting an A330-300 (1359) for conversion with EFW in Dresden (DRS). The narrowbody sector continued to show subtle signs of recovery as transactions increased MoM by four in October. Aircraft Finance Germany acquired its first A321-200PCF (2919) from Nexus Aviation Ventures, while World Star Aviation purchased two ex-AirExplore 737-800BCFs (29786 and 29788) from Aergo Capital. ASL Airlines Australia started flying the trans-Tasman route between Australia and New Zealand with two 737-800BCFs on an ACMI basis for FedEx. Below is a list of FATs recorded in October . Central Airlines took delivery of a 777F (42230, ex-Emirates) on lease from DAE Capital [FATs 10738-10740]. Turkish Airlines took delivery of a 777F (70424) from Boeing [FAT 10755]. Suparna Airlines took delivery of a 777F (70289) from Boeing [FAT 10769]. Amazon inducted for conversion an A330-300 (1359, ex-Corsair). The aircraft will be converted with EFW in Shanghai (SHA) [FATs 10749-10750]. CAM inducted for conversion an A330-300 (1269, ex-Thai Airways). The aircraft will be converted with EFW in Dresden (DRS) [FAT 10771]. Raya Airways took delivery of a 767-300F (29881, ex-LATAM) on lease from CAM [FATs 10756-10757]. FedEx took delivery of a 767-300F (67544) from Boeing [FAT 10760]. UPS took delivery of a 767-300F (67982) from Boeing [FAT 10770]. Geosky took delivery of a 767-300BCF (28141, ex-Northern Air Cargo) on lease from Saltchuk Aviation [FATs 10758-10759]. Camex Airlines took delivery of a 767-300BDSF (25199, ex-Northern Air Cargo) on lease from CAM [FATs 10761-10762]. SkyGuard took delivery of a 757-200F (32388, ex-American Airlines) on lease from AerSale [FATs 10744-10745]. CAA took delivery of an A321-200PCF (808, ex-Air Moldova) on lease from CAM [FAT 10735]. Aircraft Finance Germany acquired an A321-200PCF (2919, ex-Aruba Airlines) from Nexus Aviation Ventures [FAT 10767]. ASL Airlines Australia began flying a pair of 737-800BCFs (34797, ex-SpiceJet, and 28595, ex-Georgian Airlines) on an ACMI basis for FedEx [FATs 10736-10737]. GOL took delivery of a 737-800BCF (33553, ex-World Cargo Airlines) on lease from BBAM [FATs 10741-10743]. World Star Aviation acquired two 737-800BCFs (29786 and 29788, both ex-AirExplore) from Aergo Capital [FATs 10751-10754]. Skyway Airlines took delivery of a 737-400BDSF (27256, ex-ASL Airlines) on lease from World Star Aviation [FAT 10747]. K-Mile Air returned a 737-400BDSF (29209, ex-ASL Airlines Belgium) off lease to AerCap. [FAT 10748]. Saltchuk Aviation retired a 737-300F (25606) [FAT 10746].
