BBAM converts 10-year-old A321F pair

San Francisco-based BBAM has sent for conversion a pair of A321-200s that are just over ten years old and the youngest to have been inducted to date. The 2012-vintage units 5126 and 5133 (both ex-Eurowings) will undergo conversion to freighter configuration with Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) and are already committed to a customer, BBAM confirmed to Cargo Facts [ FATs 008295-8298 ] . (Photo/ST Engineering)[/caption] Unit 5126 arrived at the ST Engineering facility in Singapore (XSP) on Oct. 30, while unit 5133 was ferried to the VT San Antonio Aerospace facility in San Antonio (SAT) on Nov. 7. Both are equipped with CFM56 engines. At around ten years old, the 2012-vintage pair is ten years younger than the average age of the fifteen A321-200 freighters that have been redelivered so far by EFW and 321 Precision Conversions, ranging from 1998- to 2008-vintage. BBAM, which has taken redelivery of three other A321P2Fs this year (3504, 1988 and 1994), has placed them on lease with Lufthansa Cargo and SalamAir . The youngest A321F currently in service belongs to U.K.-based Titan Airways, which took redelivery of the 2008-vintage unit 3749 in June .
