Forerunner wins EMEA Demo Challenge

San Francisco-based startup Forerunner won the top prize as Best in Show at the Demo Challenge at Cargo Facts EMEA 2025 in Istanbul on May 7. Forerunner, founded last year by Chief Executive Yash Kadadi and Chief Technology Officer Will Nida, offers AI-based software to automate engineering workflows. (Photo/Cargo Facts)[/caption] The company finds and explains MRO documentation, such as component maintenance manuals, aircraft maintenance manuals, fault investigation manuals and historical maintenance records. This helps aerospace engineers and technicians quickly find and synthesize engineering knowledge spread across multiple data sources, helping them maintain and repair aircraft faster, increasing turnaround speeds and reducing aircraft-on-ground costs. In the competition, five startups presented live demos to a voting audience. The top two companies were then invited back to the stage to answer additional questions, followed by a second round of voting. Forerunner took first place and Belli AI was runner-up. Singapore- and Spain-based Belli builds cargo management software for carriers. Other competitors were: Aerios, provider of air cargo charter software; Azzera, maker of automated solutions to promote sustainability; and SWIP, creator of an API to maximize cargo yield on flights.
