SolitAir selects Air Support to streamline ops

United Arab Emirates-based cargo carrier SolitAir will use Air Support’s PPS Flight Planning and OpsControl solutions to optimize efficiency and fuel management as the carrier expands its fleet and network. The airline will use the technology to streamline logistics and reduce operational costs, according to a release today. (Courtesy/SolitAir)[/caption] Air Support recently launched PPS-X, the tenth generation of its flight planning system, offering greater accuracy in fuel calculation and optimized routing. The system is designed to improve airline performance by enhancing dispatch workflows and ensuring more precise aircraft tracking. SolitAir plans to take delivery soon of its first dry-leased 737-800 freighter to grow its narrowbody operations after it receives its United Arab Emirates AOC. SolitAir’s own freighter will add to three ACMI 737-800BCFs operated by ASL Airlines Ireland. The airline’s network expansion focuses on India and key markets in Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East, according to the release. With its base at Dubai World Central (DWC), SolitAir aims to connect more than fifty cities within a six-hour flight radius.
