IAI redelivers two 767-300BDSFs to CAM

(Photo: Amazon)[/caption] Israel Aerospace Industries ( IAI ) has redelivered two freshly converted 767-300BDSFs to Cargo Aircraft Management ( CAM ), the leasing arm of ATSG , after another 767-300 (29429, ex-American), arrived May 28 at IAI’s facility in Tel Aviv (TLV) to undergo conversion into freighter configuration [FATs 005443-005446]. The first of the two freighters (29229, ex-LATAM), which arrived at TLV in August 2019, is destined for UPS , while the second (25448, ex-American), which arrived in December 2019, will be leased to Amazon. Both departed TLV for Shannon (SNN) in quick succession and will shortly make their way across the Atlantic. Unit 29229 will be the fourth freighter-converted 767-300F to join the UPS fleet, under a dry-lease agreement with CAM. The first two aircraft were 767-300BDSFs (28039 and 28041, both ex-Air Italy) and were placed with UPS in late 2019. A third aircraft joined in early 2020 in the form of a 767-300BCF (25136, ex-ANA Cargo) that CAM acquired from ANA Cargo . As for unit 25448, it will be the second addition to Amazon’s 767 fleet this year, after unit 24985 (ex-Delta), which was redelivered in April and will soon enter service, operated by ATSG affiliate Air Transport International (ATI). The next two appear to be the two other 767-300BCFs CAM acquired from ANA Cargo (24400 and 24632), which have been given registrations that correspond with other Amazon aircraft. Both of these aircraft are currently in Wilmington (ILN). IAI has redelivered three aircraft so far in 2020 — two 767-200BDSFs (30431 and 30430, both ex-UTair) to Canada-based Cargojet Airways in January and April respectively, and unit 24985 in April. There are now six 767-300s at various stages of conversion by IAI in TLV: 29228 (ex-LATAM), which arrived in July 2019 and last conducted test flights in February; 24083 (ex-Air Canada), ferried to TLV in February ; 26996 and 25450 (ex-American). Both arrived in February; 29431 (ex-American), which arrived in March; and 29227 (ex-LATAM), which flew from ILN to TLV in April, after spending around three months in Mexico City (MEX) in March. With the exception of unit 24083, which is owned by Cargojet, all the 767-300s above are CAM frames. Unit 29228 is expected to be the final aircraft under the UPS agreement, while some of the other aircraft could be joining Amazon, even if all four the e-tailer is committed to in 2020 appear to already be accounted for.
