Hakan Bulat, president of Hong Kong Air Cargo, will join Cargo Facts Asia 2026 for the panel discussion “Assessment of the Asia-Pacific freighter market” on Tuesday, March 24, at 9:15 a.m. (UTC +8).

The fourteenth annual Cargo Facts Asia conference will take place March 23-25 at the W Shanghai, bringing together decision-makers, global executives and leaders to analyze the latest market trends, air cargo developments and their potential impact in Asia.

Bulat became president of Hong Kong Air Cargo in March 2025. He has more than eleven years of experience in the Asia-Pacific air cargo sector, including chief executive of WE World Express and executive director of PAL Express Limited.

Hong Kong Air Cargo became the territory’s first operator of an A330-200P2F in January.

The 2009-vintage, Trent 700-powered aircraft (1028) arrived in Hong Kong (HKG) from the STARCO facility in Shanghai (SHA) on Jan. 8. The aircraft flew its first flight for Hong Kong Air Cargo on Jan. 12 to Bangkok (BKK).

The freighter joins a fleet of five A330-200 production freighters as the carrier grows its route network.

Bulat will take the stage with:

  • Audrey Cheong, vice president of operations, FedEx China; and
  • Robert Zhang, commercial director, SF Airlines.

The panelists will discuss:

  • Gauging shifting air cargo demand away from North America and to Europe and Central Asia;
  • Implications of trade regulations on trans-Pacific freighter demand; and
  • Assessing the growth potential of new and established e-commerce hubs inside and outside of China.

Cargo Facts will present four invaluable events for airfreight professionals in the first half of 2026, starting with Cargo Facts LATAM, on Feb. 10-12. To see the agendas and register for the events, visit CargoFactsEvents.com.
