UPS MD-11F retirement boosts January transactions

UPS’ retirement of its MD-11F fleet boosted the number of freighter aircraft transactions recorded by Cargo Facts in January to eighty-seven, more than doubling January 2025’s transactions. In addition to the twenty-six trijets UPS retired, an unidentified customer or customers ordering five 777Fs, and Boeing delivering one 777 production freighter each to MSC Air Cargo , Turkish Airlines and Silk Way West Airlines were among the forty-five widebody FATs that led January’s transactions. Hong Kong Air Cargo became the first Hong Kong-based operator to start flying the A330-200P2F (1028) last month, while lessor High Ridge Aviation entered the freighter lease segment after acquiring its first A330-300P2F (958) from CDB Aviation. The narrowbody sector started the year off with 21 Air launching CMI operations for Cargojet with a 757-200PCF (24607). Amazon consolidated its fleet of twenty-two 737-800BCFs with Sun Country Airlines for CMI operations after repositioning two units (29938 and 33544) from ASL Airlines Ireland. Spain-based Swiftair diversified its narrowbody fleet with Airbus and Boeing conversion types. The carrier took delivery of an A321-200P2F (3749) on lease from BBAM and a 737-800BDSF (34013) on lease from World Star Aviation. Below is a list of FATs recorded in January. Unidentified customers placed orders for five 777Fs from Boeing [FATs 10884-10888]. MSC Air Cargo took delivery of a 777F (68230) from Boeing [FAT 10889]. Turkish Airlines took delivery of a 777F (70427) from Boeing [FAT 10891]. Silk Way West Airlines took delivery of a 777F (67456) from Boeing [FAT 10928]. UPS retired twenty-six MD-11Fs from fleet service [FATs 10900-10925] . High Ridge Aviation acquired an A330-300P2F (958, ex-China Southern) from CDB Aviation [FAT 10853]. CAM took redelivery of two A330-300P2Fs (1272 and 1278, both ex-China Airlines) after conversion with EFW in Istanbul (ISL) and placed them on lease to ASL Airlines Ireland [FATs 10892-10895]. Amerijet took delivery of a 767-300BCF (30563, ex-Northern Air Cargo) on lease from NAS Aircraft Leasing [FATs 10926-10927]. CAM inducted for conversion a 767-300ER (26983, ex-Condor). The aircraft will be converted with IAI at TLV [FAT 10929]. Hong Kong Air Cargo took redelivery of an A330-200P2F (1028, ex-Capital Airlines) after conversion with EFW in Shanghai (SHA) [FAT 10863]. 21 Air began operating a 757-200PCF (24607) on a CMI basis for Cargojet [FAT 10890]. Swiftair took delivery of an A321-200P2F (3749, ex-Titan Airways) on lease from BBAM [FAT 10867]. AerCap took redelivery of an A321-200P2F (2713, ex-China Southern Airlines) after conversion with EFW in Singapore (XSP) and placed it on lease to Swiftair [FATs 10868-10869]. Sichuan Airlines took delivery of an A321-200PCF (3013, ex-Vietnam Airlines) on lease from Sichuan Aviation Industry Development [FATs 10871-10872]. Sichuan Aviation Industry Development took redelivery of an A321-200PCF (2971, ex-China Southern) after conversion with 321 Precision Conversions in Chengdu (CTU) and placed it on lease to Sichuan Airlines [FATs 10873-10877]. Afcom took delivery of a 737-800SF (33003) on lease from Nauru Airlines [FATs 10864-10865]. Air Inuit took redelivery of a 737-800C (40852, ex-Comair) after conversion with KF Aerospace in Kelowna (YLW) [FAT 10866]. Swiftair took delivery of a 737-800BDSF (34013, ex-GetJet) on lease from World Star Aviation [FAT 10870]. JD Airlines took delivery of a 737-800BCF (29640, ex-Air Changan) [FATs 10878-10883]. Amazon transferred two 737-800BCFs (29938 and 33544) from ASL Airlines Ireland to Sun Country Airlines for CMI operation [FATs 10896-10897]. Tianjin Air Cargo inducted for conversion a 737-800 (32603, ex-Shan Xi Airlines). The aircraft will be converted with AEI in Haikou (HAK) [FATs 10898-10899]. Aerosucre took delivery of a 737-400SF (24128, ex-West Atlantic) on lease from Aventus Air Leasing [FATs 10845-10847]. My Indo Airlines took delivery of a 737-400SF (26302, ex-BBN Indonesia Airlines) on lease from Asia Pacific Leasing [FATs 10848-10850]. Hayways acquired a 737-400BDSF (27131, ex-ASL Airlines Belgium) from World Star Aviation [FATs 10857-10858]. Aircraft Finance Germany acquired a 737-300F (25998) from Central Airlines and placed it on lease to Trigana Air Service [FATs 10854-10856]. Cargo Wings Express took delivery of two 737-300SFs (23970 and 23237) on lease from Cargo Air [FATs 10859-10862]. Altair took delivery of a Cessna 408 SkyCourier (408-0053) from Textron Aviation [FATs 10851-10852].
