Every week in Cargo Facts Update, we include a list of recent freighter aircraft transactions, and then a comprehensive summary in the monthly issue of Cargo Facts. Each reference to a freighter aircraft transaction (FAT) in our publications contains a unique FAT code linked to the FAT database on the CargoFacts.com website. This database is available to subscribers as an interactive tool on our website, and you can go to it from the “FAT Data” tab at the top of the home page, or directly at https://cargofacts1.wpengine.com/fat/

Below, we include the transactions from this week’s issue of Cargo Facts Update, and we encourage you to make use of the FAT database here on our website.

It once flew for Jade Cargo International, but will soon be wearing SF Airlines colors.

747 freighters for SF Express. The scramble for long-haul lift continues, with SF Express acquiring two 747-400ERFs (35173 and 35174) through an online auction on Alibaba’s Taobao website [FATs 004132 – 4133]. The transaction details are fairly straightforward: SF was one of two bidders for the two ex-Jade freighters stored at Shanghai Pudong (PVG). The floor prices on the two were $20.2 million and $20.4 million, and SF won the auction with final bids of $24.3 million and $24.4 million. A third ex-Jade freighter (35169), which is in storage at Shenzhen Bao’an (SZX), received no acceptable bid. You can read our full-length analysis of the deal here.

UPS took delivery of a 747-8F (64253) from Boeing [FAT 004134]. This is the third of fourteen 747-8Fs UPS has on firm order with the manufacturer.

Korea-based Asiana Airways took redelivery of a 747-400BDSF (25782) following conversion from combi configuration by Bedek Aviation Group [FAT 004135]. This is the second of two 747s originally delivered to Asiana as combis that has been converted to full-freighter configuration by Bedek.

A 767 freighter for Royal Air Maroc. Morocco-based Royal Air Maroc ferried a 767-300ER (30008, from its own fleet) to the ST Aero facility in Paya Lebar (QPG) for conversion to BCF freighter configuration by Boeing [FAT 004136].
