A350F transactions finish 2023 on a strong note

The Airbus A350F drove the year to end on a strong note, accounting for thirty-six of the 105 freighter aircraft transactions for December 2023. The two A350Fs ordered by Cathay Pacific and Turkish Airlines helped push transactions for the month over 100, thirty-seven more than in November. Egypt-based SkyVision signed a sub-lease deal in December with United Arab Emirates-based Vaayu Group for two Airbus A320-200P2Fs. The 737-800 led the narrowbody sector with five conversion inductions and three 737-800BCFs on lease; two A321-200s headed for conversion and four A320 family freighters were placed on lease. In the widebody segment, Atlas Air took delivery of the last of four 777Fs it will operate on ACMI for Switzerland-based Mediterranean Shipping Co., while Air China Cargo took redelivery of an A330-200P2F , the first of the type in China. Boeing freighters led conversion redeliveries for the month with seven 737-800Fs, four 767-300Fs and one 757-200PCF. The planemaker delivered three 777Fs and three 767-300Fs in December. Cathay Pacific placed an order for six A350Fs with Airbus along with an option for twenty more [FATs 9265-9290]. Turkish Airlines placed an order for five A350Fs with Airbus along with an option for five more [FATs 9309-9318]. AeroLogic began operating a 777F (68196) on a CMI basis for Lufthansa [FATs 9263-9264]. Jetran acquired two 777-200LRs (36016 and 30617, both ex-Qatar Airways) [FATs 9329 and 9346]. Atlas Air took delivery of a 777F (67995) from Boeing and began operating it on an ACMI basis for MSC [FATs 9342-9343]. Qatar Airways took delivery of a 777F (68063) from Boeing [FAT 9348]. FedEx retired an MD-11F (48602) and placed it in storage in Victorville (VCV) [FAT 9347]. Atlas Air took redelivery of a 767-300BCF (25864) after conversion with Boeing in Singapore (QPG) [FAT 9253]. UPS took delivery of two 767-300Fs (67971 and 67972) from Boeing [FAT 9331 and 9336]. UPS also inducted for conversion a 767-300ER (40363, ex-Japan Airlines). The aircraft will be converted with Boeing at QPG [FAT 9261]. FedEx took delivery of a 767-300F (67533) from Boeing [FAT 9262]. CAM took redelivery of a 767-300BCF (25170, ex-Condor) after conversion with Boeing in Guangzhou (CAN) [FAT 9308]. DHL Express took redelivery of a 767-300BCF (41994, ex-LATAM) after conversion with Boeing at CAN [FAT 9337]. DHL also took delivery of a 767-300BDSF (40564, ex-All Nippon Airways) on lease from CAM and placed it with ABX Air for CMI operation [FATs 9339-9341]. SF Airlines acquired two 767-300ERs (29387 and 30048, both ex-Condor Airlines) from CAM [FATs 9344-9345]. Air Belgium returned four A330-200Fs (1584 and 1594, 1688 and 1708) off CMI to CMA CGM [FATs 9304-9307]. Air China Cargo took redelivery of an A330-200P2F (860) after conversion with EFW in Chengdu (CTU) [FAT 9319]. Qantas took redelivery of an A330-200P2F (842) after conversion with EFW in Dresden (DRS) [FATs 9328]. DHL retired a 757-200PCF (24471) and placed it in storage in Roswell (ROW) [FAT 9291]. AerSale took redelivery of a 757-200PCF (32388, ex-American Airlines) after conversion with Precision Aircraft Solutions in Xiamen (XMN) [FAT 9293]. BBN Airlines took delivery of an A321-200P2F (1094, ex-Aer Lingus) on lease from BBAM [FATs 9320-9323]. Aero Capital Solutions took redelivery of an A321-200PCF (961, ex-Finnair) after conversion with 321 Precision Conversions in Lake City (LCQ) [FAT 9330]. BBAM took redelivery of an A321-200P2F (1023, ex-Aer Lingus) after conversion with EFW at CAN and placed it on lease to AirAsia [FATs 9332-9335]. Sky Vision Airlines will sublease an A320-200P2F (2724, ex-Orange2Fly) from Vaayu Group, which has leased it from Juniper Aviation Investments [FATs 9353-9356]. Sky Vision will also sublease a second A320-200P2F (2288, ex-Lauda Europe) from Vaayu Group [FAT 9357]. Jeju Air took delivery of a 737-800BCF (32625, ex-Mavi Gök Airlines) on lease from Aviator Capital Management [FATs 9254-9258]. BlackRock took redelivery of a 737-800SF (30876, ex-Sriwijaya Air) after conversion with AEI in Dothan (DHN) [FAT 9292]. Aircastle took redelivery of a 737-800SF (35099, ex-SpiceJet) after conversion with AEI in Kelowna (YLW) [FATs 9294-9295]. AerCap took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (30715, ex-Shanghai Airlines) after conversion with Boeing in Jinan (TNA) and placed it on lease to JD Airlines [FATs 9296-9300]. AviaAM Leasing took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (29771, ex-AnadoluJet) after conversion with Boeing in London (LGW) [FATs 9301-9303]. Tianjin Air Cargo took delivery of a 737-800BCF (33975, ex-Eastar Jet) on lease from Icelease [FATs 9324-9325]. Xiamen Airlines took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (35044) after conversion with Boeing at CAN [FATs 9350-9352]. FedEx took delivery of an ATR 72-600F (1758) from ATR [FAT 9349]. FedEx also took delivery of two C408s (408-0024 and 408-0025) from Textron Aviation [FATs 9326-9327].
