April FATs remain on par with previous month

Cargo Facts logged eighty-three freighter aircraft transactions in April, just two fewer than the prior month. FAT activity generally has been lower in 2024, with January and February both coming in below seventy. Nevertheless, April was noteworthy because Boeing started sending new 777Fs to customers again after not delivering any since December 2023. The first 777F delivery of 2024 was to EVA Air , while another joined Qatar Airways. Airbus conversions continue to gain traction on Boeing with A330 transactions surpassing those involving 767s by three, while A321s were tied with 737-800s. April still saw some 737 Classic activity, with two 737-300Fs finding two new players in the freighter market, while a 737-400F and two -300Fs left their respective operators and went to lessors. UPS acquired two 747-8Fs (37564 and 63199, ex-Qatar Airways) from Boeing [FATs 9558-9559]. Jetran acquired a 747-400F (30767) from China Airlines [FAT 9611]. EVA Air took delivery of a 777F (68195) from Boeing [FAT 9595]. Qatar Airways took delivery of a 777F (68064) from Boeing [FAT 9603]. Altavair inducted for conversion an A330-300 (1167, ex-Etihad Airways). The aircraft will be converted with EFW in Dresden (DRS) [FAT 9565]. Amazon took delivery of an A330-300P2F (1874) on lease from Altavair after conversion with EFW in Shanghai (SHA) and placed it with Hawaiian Airlines for CMI operation [FATs 9576-9578]. CDB Aviation inducted for conversion an A330-300 (1382, ex-SmartLynx). The aircraft will be converted with EFW at SHA [FAT 9594]. DHL acquired an A330-300P2F (1374, ex-Thai Airways) from CaixaBank after conversion with EFW at DRS [FATs 9620-9624]. Avianca took delivery of an A330-300P2F (791, ex-SmartLynx) on lease from CDB Aviation [FAT 9640]. Air Canada took redelivery of a 767-300BDSF (30851) after conversion with IAI in Tel Aviv (TLV) [FATs 9580-9582]. Saltchuk Aviation took redelivery of a 767-300BCF (28141, ex-Azur Air) after conversion with Boeing in Singapore (QPG) [FAT 9586]. Georgian Airlines took delivery of a 767-300BDSF (27611) on lease from Titan Aviation Leasing after Polar Air Cargo stopped operating it on an ACMI basis for DHL [FATs 9599-9601]. UPS took delivery of a 767-300F (67974) from Boeing [FAT 9604]. ASL Airlines Ireland began operating an A300-600F (858) on a CMI basis for DHL after Air Hong Kong returned it [FAT 9575]. West Atlantic began operating a 757-200PCF (32379) on a CMI basis for FarCargo [FAT 9608]. AerSale took redelivery of a 757-200PCF (32394, ex-American Airlines) after conversion with Precision Aircraft Solutions in Xiamen (XMN) [FAT 9636]. Spectre Air Capital acquired an A321-200 (1642) from SAS Scandinavian Airlines [FAT 9579]. BBAM took redelivery of an A321-200P2F (3926, ex-British Airways) after conversion with EFW in Singapore (XSP) and placed it on lease to Royal Jordanian Airlines [FATs 9560-9564]. SmartLynx took delivery of two A321-200PCFs (2290, ex-Air Busan, and 961, ex-Finnair) on lease from Aero Capital Solutions [FATs 9587-9590]. SmartLynx also took delivery of an A321-200PCF (1487, ex-Red Wings) on lease from Cross Ocean Partners [FATs 9591-9592]. Fuyo General Lease took redelivery of an A321-200P2F (4530, ex-Qatar Airways) after conversion with EFW at XSP and placed it on lease to Yamato Transport [FATs 9606-9607]. Global Crossing Airlines took delivery of an A321-200P2F (1763, ex-RedWings) on lease from ST Engineering [FATs 9609-9610]. Qantas acquired an A321-200P2F (2799, ex-British Airways) from JLPS Ireland [FATs 9633-9635]. GA Telesis took redelivery of a 737-800SF (28235, ex-Caribbean Airlines) after conversion with AEI in Miami (MIA) and placed it on lease to Kenya Airways [FATs 9566-9570]. ASL Airlines took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (36698, ex-SpiceJet) after conversion with Boeing in London (LGW) [FAT 9571]. BBAM took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (29644, ex-Go2Sky) after conversion with Boeing in Kelowna (YLW) and placed it on lease to Chisholm Enterprises [FATs 9572-9573]. iAero Airways stopped operating two 737-800SFs (30878 and 29986) on an ACMI basis for DHL [FATs 9584-9585]. Serve Air Cargo took redelivery of a 737-800SF (30517, ex-Air China) after conversion with AEI in Dothan (DHN) [FAT 9605]. Icelease took redelivery of a 737-800BCF (30879, ex-TUI fly) after conversion with Boeing in Shanghai (PVG) [FATs 9637-9639]. West Atlantic returned a 737-400SF (25859) off lease to Automatic [FAT 9593]. New Way Cargo Airlines acquired a 737-300F (27520) from YTO Cargo Airlines [FAT 9583]. Aircraft Finance Germany acquired a 737-300F (27362) from Central Airlines [FAT 9602]. Automatic acquired a 737-300BDSF (23486) from Qantas [FAT 9612]. LAM Mozambique took delivery of a 737-300F (28567, ex-Asia Cargo Airlines) on lease from ACN Aeroleasing [FATs 9625-9627]. Aeronaves TSM inducted for conversion a CRJ200 (7528, ex-ExpressJet Airlines). The aircraft will be converted with AEI at DHN [FAT 9598]. FedEx took delivery of an ATR 72-600F (1761) from ATR and placed it with ASL Airlines Ireland for CMI operation [FATs 9596-9597]. Pattaya Airways took delivery of an ATR 72-500F (745, ex-Air Corsica) on lease from ACIA Aero Leasing and will lease another (742, ex-Air Corsia) from ACIA [FATs 9613-9619].
