November freighter transactions level off at 57

Freighter aircraft transactions in November remained on par with October at fifty-seven, a decrease of fourteen year over year. Widebody aircraft stood out for the month, accounting for thirty-three freighter aircraft transactions (FATs). Unidentified customers represented around 12% of the FATs for the month taking an order of seven 777Fs from Boeing . Emirates and Maersk each took delivery of a 777F after Boeing reached a deal to end the strike with the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. Ypsilanti, Mich.-based Kalitta Air took delivery of its first 777F in three years while AerCap flew another 777-300ER (32790, ex-Emirates) to Tel Aviv (TLV) for conversion with IAI. 767 freighters rebounded in November with fourteen FATs. A few of the 767F transactions belonged to Amazon, which transferred two 767-300BDSFs (28865, ex-Thomas Cook Airlines, and 24086, ex-EuroAtlantic Airways) from Atlas Air to 21 Air and ABX Air, respectively. Meanwhile, Georgia-based Geosky took delivery of its first two 767-300BCFs (30564, ex-MIAT Mongolian Airlines, and 28043, ex-Azur Air) on lease from Saltchuk Aviation, and fellow Georgian carrier Camex Airlines entered the widebody freighter segment with its first 767-300BDSF (25451, ex-Northern Air Cargo) on lease from CAM. In the narrowbody sector, Brazil-based Azul took delivery of its second A321-200P2F (2759, ex-China Southern Airlines) on lease from AerCap. The lessor also delivered its sixth 737-800BCF (30699, ex-China Southern Airlines) to China-based JD Airlines. Another 737 Classic freighter will soon enter service with a new carrier after Kenya-based Astral Aviation took delivery of a 1992-vintage 737-400F (27082, ex-Alaska Airlines) on lease from Avmax. Fly Meta placed a 747-400F (33731, ex-China Airlines) with Air Atlanta Europe for CMI operation [FATs 10180-10181]. AerCap inducted for conversion a 777-300ER (32790, ex-Emirates). The aircraft will be converted with IAI in Tel Aviv (TLV) [FAT 10178]. Kalitta Air took delivery of a 777F (35608, ex-Emirates) on lease from DAE Capital [FATs 10142-10143]. Unidentified customers placed orders for seven 777Fs with Boeing [FATs 10170-10176]. Emirates took delivery of a 777F (68618) from Boeing [FAT 10192]. Maersk took delivery of a 777F (67866) from Boeing [FAT 10201]. DHL Express inducted for conversion a 777-200LR (36017, ex-Qatar Airways). The aircraft will be converted with Mammoth Freighters in Manchester (MAN) [FATs 10157-10158]. FedEx retired an MD-11F (48550) and placed it in storage in Victorville (VCV) [FAT 10144]. CAM inducted for conversion an A330-300 (1278, ex-China Airlines). The aircraft will be converted with EFW in Istanbul (ISL) [FAT 10205]. Geosky took delivery of two 767-300BCFs (30564, ex-MIAT Mongolian Airlines, and 28043, ex-Azur Air) on lease from Saltchuk Aviation [FATs 10140-10141 and 10199-10200]. Amazon transferred a 767-300BDSF (24086, ex-EuroAtlantic Airways) from Atlas Air to ABX Air for CMI operation [FATs 10145-10146]. Amazon also transferred a 767-300BDSF (28865, ex-Thomas Cook Airlines) from Atlas Air to 21 Air for CMI operation [FATs 10155-10156]. CAM took redelivery of a 767-300BDSF (26987, ex-Condor) after conversion with IAI in TLV [FATs 10147-10149]. Jetran acquired a 767-300F (30780) from LATAM [FATs 10177]. Camex Airlines took delivery of a 767-300BDSF (25451, ex-Northern Air Cargo) on lease from CAM [FATs 10188-10189]. DHL Express transferred an A300-600F (722) from ASL Airlines Ireland to EAT Leipzig [FAT 10187]. Azul took delivery of an A321-200P2F (2759, ex-China Southern Airlines) on lease from AerCap after conversion with EFW in Guangzhou (CAN) [FATs 10150-10152]. Sichuan Airlines took delivery of an A321-200PCF (2974, ex-Vietnam Airlines) on lease from Sichuan Aviation Industry Development [FAT 10184]. JD Airlines took delivery of a 737-800BCF (30699, ex-China Southern Airlines) on lease from AerCap after conversion with Boeing in Jinan (TNA) [FATs 10202-10204]. DHL transferred a 737-800BDSF (30499, ex-Shenzen Airlines) from iAero Airways to ASL Airlines Ireland for CMI operation [FATs 10206-10207]. West Atlantic retired a 737-400SF (24128) [FAT 10177]. ASL Airlines returned a 737-400SF (25109) off lease to Crestone Air Partners [FAT 10179]. Astral Aviation took delivery of a 737-400F (27082, ex-Alaska Airlines) on lease from Avmax [FAT 10191]. Swiftair lost a 737-400SF (24445, ex-Wat Phnom Airlines) after it crashed in Vilnius (VNO) [FAT 10195]. Total Linhas Aereas lost a 737-400SF (26299, ex-ASL Airlines Ireland) after a fire in the main cargo hold [FAT 10196]. Express Cargo Airlines acquired a 737-300F (28200, ex-RGA Black Stone Airlines) [FAT 10186]. Asia Cargo Airlines returned two 737-300Fs (28401 and 28398, both ex-Southwest Airlines) off lease to Rostrum Leasing [FATs 10197-10198]. ValueJet returned a CRJ200SF (7452, ex-Expressjet) off lease to Regional One [FAT 10185]. FedEx took delivery of an ATR 72-600F (1764) from ATR and placed it with Swiftair for CMI operation [FATs 10153-10154]. FedEx also took delivery of two Cessna 408s (408-0030 and -0037) from Textron Aviation [FATs 10190 and 10193].
